100% of the Eco Fund will be used to purchase carbon credits that offset the equivalent tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per member.
The carbon credits we buy support verified climate-friendly projects around the world that meet strict criteria and are proven to reduce, avoid or remove greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere.
Projects range from forest protection and reforestation to renewable energy and community-based solutions.
All purchases by the Fund are made through official platforms, are recorded in an emissions registry and will be available to view on our website alongside our Carbon Neutrality Report.
The HoWA Fund has four membership types and accreditation processes for its membership to ensure we are being as green and as ethical as possible:
A loyalty programme for our customers that offset the personal emissions of each member while giving loyalty credits and discounts across our portfolio of brands.
A certification membership for businesses and products that offsets their workforce carbon emissions and validates their green credentials.
A certificated membership designed for our franchise partners, allowing each HoWA Certified Member access to our network and offset their personal emissions, while governing their processes for operating as a carbon neutral enterprise.
Designed for trade professionals wishing to promote their sustainability credentials, the HoWA Approved membership validates their eco-credentials in line with the HoWA model for carbon neutrality while offsetting the personal emissions of their workforce.
This membership also grants entry into the Thoroughly Modern Housekeeper network and job pool.
